Just in time for Summer, the Buffalo Museum of Science will offer $5 individual and $10 family memberships to Buffalo East Side residents who live in zip codes 14208, 14211, and 14212.
This new program, called Neighbor Pass, is intended to encourage more residents who live adjacent to the Museum to explore its science studios and participate in its programs.
It is made possible with a generous gift from Ms. Deborah Goldman and Dr. Grant Golden, this initiative will open up science, technology, engineering, and mathematics education to many City residents who may have never been to the Museum. “We are so pleased to make the Science Museum, a community treasure, affordable to those living close by. This is a great opportunity for neighbors, young and old, to explore the vast, endlessly exciting world of science,” says Ms. Goldman and Mr. Golden.
City of Buffalo Council members, the Honorable Ulysees O. Wingo, Sr. and the Honorable David A. Franczyk, have been instrumental in the implementation of the Neighbor Pass.
Memberships can be purchased with proof of residency at the Buffalo Museum of Science, 1020 Humboldt Parkway, Buffalo, NY 14211 or by calling 716-896-5200 ext. 311.
