Buffalo did not crack Amazon's top 20 list for its new HQ2 location but the city went all in on tax breaks and incentives.
According to Buffalo Business First, Buffalo offered more than $500 million while Rochester's pitch included more than $700 in incentives.
Buffalo Business First reviewed a detailed copy of the regional bid.
Buffalo's portion of the bid reportedly focused on creating eight million square feet of space which included renovating the One Seneca Tower, the HSBC Atrium and portions of the Buffalo News building.
Amazon says the new facility will hire as many as 50,000 new full-time employees.
