A handful of parents met on Buffalo's East Side to see what's happening with their children's school buses. One grandmother, Tina Sanders, says her grandson, a kindergartner, has been on the bus until 8 at night, one time. She says even when she tries to call First Student about the problem, she can't get through to someone.
Wednesday night, her and other Buffalo parents met with the General Manager of First Student at Delvavan Moselle Community Center to find out what's going on with the transportation company.
First Student says it comes down to drivers, and the lack of them.
“We could easily use, probably 40-50 drivers,” said Sean McCabe the WNY General Manager of First Student.
