The Coit House was built more than 200 years ago

It may be one of the areas most famous homes. It has a lot of history attached to it. Jessica Ranalletti and Tyler Balentine know almost everything about this old house. They are realtors with Cushman & Wakefield / Pyramid Brokerage Company and it's their job to sell the Coit House.

The Coit House is Buffalo's Oldest home. It's even older than the City Of Buffalo. The house was built in 1815 and the city did not become incorporated until 1932. Their company according to Jessica "focuses on unique properties." The Coit House certainly qualifies.

The three story Federal style home was built by George Coit, one of the Queen  City's founding fathers. It was moved to Virginia Street in 1867 from it's original location at Pearl and Swan streets. That's when they added a second home to it. Tyler says "they were fused together into one very large home, over 4600 square feet.

It escaped the wrecking ball in the 1960's and is now listed on the National Register of Historic places. The current owners are asking eight hundred thousand dollars, but "obviously entertaining offers" Jessica adds.

You can find more info at the company's web site.
