What started as an apparent standoff situation in North Buffalo ended with a man turning himself in to police.
The Buffalo Police Department says SWAT responded to calls of a man making threats from inside his apartment on Saranac Avenue, just off Hertel Avenue around 6 p.m. on Saturday.
Police later determined the man was never inside his apartment and was instead making calls from the Erie County Medical Center.
The man, whose name has not been released, later turned himself in to police.
The investigation is ongoing.
