The Buffalo Zoo is inviting you to say goodbye to a couple of its most beloved residents.
You can bid your farewell to the zoo's two elephants Jothi and Surapa Saturday by signing a farewell card or making a donation to elephant conservation efforts.
The zoo announced that they were relocating the elephants back in August. Jonathan Dandes, chairman of the Buffalo Zoo's board of directors, said the zoo is making the move because it is in the best interest of the animals.
The zoo says they spent weeks carefully planning the animals' relocation to New Orleans.
You can take part in the special farewell event on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the zoo.
