It's not too late to take advantage of today's Cyber Monday online shopping deals.
Marketers coined the term "Cyber Monday" a few years ago to describe the first Monday after Thanksgiving. This year, Cyber Monday is getting an extension.
Now, to extend the specials, Amazon and other retailers began special pricing on Saturday, two days before Cyber Monday. And many deals will be available for a few more days, some through Friday.
It's part of an effort to drum up more business. The National Retail Federation says nearly 127 million shoppers - that's about half of all holiday shoppers - plan to shop Cyber Monday, down slightly from the about 132 million last year. The most popular promotions today are free shipping, in-store pickup and lower prices.
While Black Friday means battling crowds, on Cyber Monday, shoppers are battling online criminals. The BBB is out with tips to stay safe.
They recommend making sure your computer is up to date with anti-virus software, only shopping on trustworthy sites, checking your credit card usage online and of course, beware of deals that sound too good to be true.
