People in Cheektowaga may soon have to pay more in taxes if the town supervisor's proposed budget is passed.
Supervisor Diane Benczkowski submitted the tentative 2019 budget on October 1. It calls for a 1.1% property tax hike; the budget itself totals $92,639,171. That's up nearly $1.3 million from last year.
The town board is reviewing the budget for the next few weeks. Neighbors can weigh in on it at a board meeting on October 23 at 7:00 p.m. If you're interested in looking over the it for yourself before then, you can find a link to the 2019 tentative budget right here.
