Representative Chris Collins said that he will "actively campaign for Congress" in a tweet Wednesday afternoon. He added that alongside campaigning, he will also be fighting to "clear my good name in the courts."
Earlier this week, Erie County Republican Chair Nick Langworthy announced in a news conference that Collins and his team informed him that it was no longer in the best interest to remove his name on the ballot. All of this comes after he announced he was suspending his campaign in August following insider trading charges.
