It's a busy time of year for many people-- especially jewelers. From Thanksgiving until Valentine's Day, 40 percent of engagements happen within those few months. Christmas time tops the list of the most popular days to get down on one knee, Wedding Wire finds.
"People's childhood memories revolve around their family's traditions." Jeffery Zimmer, Owner of Reeds Jenss said. "A lot of people like to couple their engagement with the tradition of Christmas."
Reeds Jenss ramps up their engagement ring production around this time of year. There are an unlimited amount of styles to choose from because every engagement ring is custom made.
"A round diamond is really the most popular but today the fancy shapes are really really strong," Zimmer added. "Cushions, emerald cuts, pear shapes, ovals and really popular right now."
The color rose gold, which has hints of pink, is popular right now Zimmer adds.
