CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WKBW) — Catholic Health announced Saturday it will close the Emergency Department at Sisters of Charity Hospital on its St. Joseph Campus. The department will close effective March 21st at 7;00 p.m. and will last indefinitely.
According to Catholic Health, the closing is directly related to the conversion of the St. Joseph Campus into a COVID-19-only facility. However, those plans are still ongoing.
Catholic Health will still maintain emergency services at its main campus on Main Street in Buffalo. They also advise all individuals with medical emergencies to not go to their St. Joseph campus.
