BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Western New Yorkers now have several options to be tested for COVID-19, including county and state labs and private labs, pharmacies and hospitals.
We're compiling a list of facilities offering testing in Western New York.
There are two kinds of tests commonly used-- a PCR (nasal swab) test and an antibody (blood) test. The PCR test detects whether the individual is currently sick with COVID-19. The antibody test detects whether antibodies for the virus are in the body, meaning the individual's immune system has fought the virus.
