FREDONIA, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Fredonia Police Department says it is working to prevent any parties, gatherings, or celebrations including "Fred Fest" that violate New York Governor Andrew Cuomo's Executive Order.
Police say they are working to maintain the safest environment for the entire community, reminding everyone of the possible hazards of social gatherings and asking for compliance.
Police are asking landlords, parents, and students to make smart decisions during the COVID-19 pandemic.
They say a violation of the Executive Order does not constitute a crime, but a fine and other charges may be imposed on those who violate the order.
Police ask anyone aware of any type of event taking place to contact them so they can prevent it from happening.
