CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WKBW) — Some stores at the Walden Galleria are now reopening after the Western New York region entered the Phase Two portion of the scaled reopening of the economy, shutdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Under Phase Two, stores that have their own external entrances, separate from the Mall entrances, can reopen for business starting Tuesday.

Internal stores and entertainment venues are not permitted to reopen yet. Some restaurants are allowed to offer take-out or curbside dining but cannot have dine-in service.

According to a release from Pyramid Management Group, the owners of the Walden Galleria, they believe the size of their facility will allow for ample social distancing inside their standalone stores. They add that they have meet or exceeded all of the New York State and CDC guidelines to protect the health of returning employees and customers.
