BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — To ensure the safety of its employees, the United States Postal Service is temporarily changing its signature procedures.

Customers who need to sign for a package will now be asked to give the employee their first and last initial. The employee will then enter that information on the electronic screen or paper document form like a return receipts, or PS form.

Employees will also be asking customers to maintain a safe distance from them while they place their package(s) at the customers door.
