BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — With thousands of travelers quarantined all over the world, AAA of Western and Central New York says it has been in constant contact with those who booked with them to make sure they are safe.

"We've been working to contact [travelers] and we are working hard to put them at ease," said Brian Murray, Director of Travel with AAA.

For anyone who is abroad and concerned about the coronavirus preventing their return, AAA says it is important to make sure you are in touch with the government on the exact policies.

AAA also suggests that you need to be as flexible as possible regarding your return home.

"You have to work with those governments and the CDC to route people through different destinations," Murray said. "Someone might do a normal connection through London, and [AAA] might route them through another city. Some people are staying put, while others are contacting and working to get them back."

Murray and AAA says the best thing to do is to stay on top of the latest updates from the CDC, United States government, and the government of the current country you're in.

Despite having a lot of employees who are working remotely, AAA is always available for a phone call to help.
