The cosmetic surgery rider will remain for Buffalo School District employees, at least for now.
An arbitrator has ruled against the school board's decision to remove that rider, saying that the Taylor Law does not permit one of the parties to unilaterally change the terms of a collective bargaining agreement.
BTF President Phil Rumore released a statement today which reads in part, "Hopefully, the board will end the teacher anger its actions have engendered, end this absurd vindictive act, and the court challenges by agreeing to abide by the Arbitrator’s decision”.
There's no word as to whether the district will appeal the decision.
