The Cheektowaga man charged with killing his father last April is now being sent to the Rochester Psychiatric Center for six months.
31 year old Sirwilliam Hardy is charged with second degree murder after he told police he accidentally shot and killed his 54 year old father inside their Whitney Place home in April of 2017.
Hardy was in court Thursday, he has pleaded not responsible by reason of mental disease or defect. The Erie County District Attorney says Hardy has been found to be dangerously mentally ill. After six months in the Rochester facility Hardy is scheduled to be back in court in Buffalo at the end of November.
