Buffalo police have arrested a man from Amherst for vehicular manslaughter in relation to an overnight accident in the Delaware Avenue S-curves.
Dennis Xenos, 24, lost control of the car and drove into a light pole, knocking it down, and then hit a tree.
The backseat passengers were taken to ECMC. One, a 24-year-old Tonawanda man, has died from his injuries, resulting in Xenos' vehicular manslaughter charge.
The other backseat passenger, a 21-year-old woman from Buffalo, is in serious condition in the trauma ICU.
The third passenger was not injured in the crash.
Xenos was also charged with vehicular assault and DWI.
Our crews on the scene saw a car several feet off the road, rolled over underneath a tree.
