Erie County Sheriff’s Deputies and Park Rangers broke up a party of approximately 30 underage drinkers at Chestnut Ridge Park Tuesday. Deputies say everyone at the party was high school aged, most of whom were from Orchard Park High School.
Deputies say they received a tip through their underage drinking tip line (1-800-851-1932) there would be a “Senior Skip Day” party. Information about the event was spread on social media.
Several cans of beer were confiscated and four open containers were poured out at the scene. Deputies also extinguished a bonfire started on a stone path in the park.
Four students admitted to drinking and were taken home by deputies.
