The Deputy Mayor of Williamsville has pleaded not guilty to charges related to a suspected DWI crash last September.
Christopher DuQuin appeared in Clarence Town Court on Tuesday, where he entered his not guilty pleas and was released on his own recognizance.
Amherst Police say DuQuin was intoxicated when he hit a parked car on North Ellicott Street in the Village of Willliamsville and then left the scene. It happened around 2 a.m. on the morning of Saturday, September 17.
Police said they followed a trail of fluid from the accident site to DuQuin's garage.
In addition to DWI charges, the co-owner of Steven's Driving School is charged with leaving the scene of an accident and moving from a lane unsafely.
The case was moved out of Williamsville due to a potential conflict of interest.
DuQuin has taken an indefinite leave of absence from his role with the village.
Mayor Brian Kulpa appointed town Trustee Daniel Delano to serve as Williamsville's Deputy Mayor through the end of the official village year.
