A doctor from Clarence will spend the next year in jail for having sex with several of his patients.
Dharam Paul Garg, 64, had sex with four different patients on multiple occasions in his Depew office between April 2011 and November 2012. He was indicted in April 2013 on charges of engaging in sexual acts during medical examinations.
Garg pleaded guilty in September to third degree criminal sexual act and was sentenced Monday afternoon to one year in jail.
“The brave victims who came forward have helped make sure that the defendant will be in jail instead of in a position to continue to abuse others,” said State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman.
Garg has surrendered his medical license.
