The Rapid Mac Cooker promises to cook a box of Macaroni and Cheese in the microwave in five minutes, instead of the 20 minutes it takes to cook it on the stove. We bought it on Amazon for $5.50.
In order to compare the Mac and Cheese made in the cooker to regular Mac and Cheese, we made both at the 7 Eyewitness News Studio. Then, we asked one of our engineers to do a taste test for us. He preferred the Mac and Cheese cooked in the Rapid Mac Cooker to the Mac and Cheese made on the stove. He said it was 'creamier and cheesier.'
We're rating the Rapid Mac and Cheese cooker 4/5 stars. We liked the fact that it cooked the pasta quickly and efficiently, although it was a bit al dente for some of our crew. Also, some people pointed out that it really only cuts 15 minutes from dinner time, but that is 15 minutes many people need!
