The Basil family will be at all three Toys R Us stores in the Western New York area on Friday helping to collect donations from Operation Santa.
WKBW is a proud participant in Operation Santa, which collects unopened toys for Toys for Tots. Anyone who enters from now through December 18 is entered to win one of five new cars from the Basil family dealerships or $21,000 towards a pre-owned vehicle.

“In our 11th year of Operation Santa we find Toys R Us once again opening their doors and allowing us to set up. We manage to collect an extraordinary amount of toys at all three area Toys R Us and we are so appreciative of every single person who donates a toy for children who might not otherwise have something to unwrap,” Jim Basil, owner of Joe Basil Chevrolet, said.
The winners of Operation Santa will be selected live on WKBW on Thursday, December 18 at Basil Resale Delaware. Ten finalists will be given keys, one of which will start a predetermined vehicle. Whoever has the winning key gets to pick one of the five new vehicles or $21,000 towards a pre-owned vehicle of their choice.
The toy drive goes from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. at Toys R Us stores in Amherst, Williamsville and Hamburg.
