Downtown Buffalo sandwich shop reopens after fire

Posted

Chris' NY Sandwich Co., a staple of the downtown Buffalo lunch scene for years, is running at 100 percent again, more than a year after a fire forced it to close its doors to diners.

The April 2017 fire inside the restaurant, at 395 Delaware Avenue between Tupper and Edward, caused $300,000 in damage. Chris' reopened for takeout and delivery a short time later but the popular dining room had been closed until today.

The restaurant, which opened in 1990, is operated by Chris Vendetti.

It is open for lunch weekdays from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
