Summer-like temperatures aren't shying people away from hitting the ice in East Aurora.
An outdoor ice rink may be one of the last things on your mind in weather like this.
That doesn't apply to people like Tom Dilamarter, who finds it therapeutic and prefers playing outdoors.
"This feels like what it feels like in late March when we're ready to close up," Dilamarter said.
He thinks the inception of the rink is helping bring people of all ages into the area and allowing local businesses to flourish.
"It's acted as a conduit to bring people down here, it's brought back businesses...It just keeps getting better and better," according to Dilamarter.
Scott More, GM of the Healthy Zone Rink in East Aurora, says since opening last week, around 250 skaters came to cool off over the hot weekend.
It goes to show that warm weather can still be hockey weather.
