AMHERST, N.Y. (WKBW) — A local band is using its talents to raise money for seniors at Sweet Home High School so they can continue their music dreams.
West Of The Mark country band started to give out scholarships with the goal of students doing more.
The band hosts a concert each year which ends up creating three $1,000 music scholarships to students participating in band, chorus, and theatre.
This year's show is Saturday, February 1st at the Tralf Music Hall in downtown Buffalo.
For the first time, the show is sold out before the doors open!
"What better way to give back to the community than to give a scholarship, and try to promote students that come through and want to go further than secondary education in music or fine arts," said West Of The Mark singer Jay Urbaniak.
