WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. (WKBW) — A big congratulations to Mill Middle School in the Williamsville Central School District!
You could say this group of students has a good grasp on the future. The eighth-graders recently took home the Resilience in Engineering Award at the Future City nationals competition in Washington, D.C.
In this prestigious competition, students face-off, researching, creating and designing a "future city" of their imagining.
During this year's tournament, students needed to design a city with an electrical grid that could survive a natural disaster.
Randy Gammiero, the school's gifted programming specialist, tells 7 Eyewitness News he is extremely proud of his students adding, "they worked so hard and did it all themselves."
Congratulations!
