Father who lost son serves holiday meals to vets

A Florida restaurant owner whose son was killed in Afghanistan five years ago is giving back to veterans this holiday season.

Army Corporal Frank Gross was killed in 2011 during a rescue mission.  His father Craig now makes homemade holiday meals for vets in his area, and serves them in his son's honor.  He says he turned to cooking to help cope with his loss.  He now spends every holiday giving to veterans who've protected and served.

"The reason why I'm doing it is very simple," he said. I want to say thank you. I want to say thank you, I want to say thank you to those who have given us our freedom."

Gross also opened his doors to foster children in the area to make sure they had a holiday meal this season.
