Around midnight, an Erie County deputy stopped a vehicle on Route 400 after spotting traffic violations.
The driver, 34-year-old Russell Appell of Fillmore, had nine license suspensions and marijuana in the vehicle.
The deputy then discovered Appell's passenger, 22-year-old Heather Kleinsmith, had a misdemeanor amount of Xanax, three hypodermic needles, and marijuana.
Officials said Appell and Kleinsmith were placed in the Erie County Holding Center on $250 bail.
Appell has since been released after posting bail.
