Buffalo firefighters are working to figure out what caused an overnight house fire, on Watson Street near William.
Firefighters were called about 2:30 a.m. Monday.
When crews arrived they were up against heavy flames and thick smoke. Crews had to fight the fire from the outside.

It appears wind helped fuel the fire. Once winds shifted, the smoke dissipated.
Additional equipment was called in to help get this fire under control.
It does not appear anyone was hurt.
