A volunteer firefighter was hurt after being caught in a collapse during a fire Sunday.
It happened on Long Avenue around 4 p.m. The fire started in a garage and quickly spread to three nearby homes.
The firefighter was on the second floor of one of the homes when the collapse happened. He suffered a shoulder injury and was able to get out of the building.
Chief Leonard Luh of the Pine Hill Fire District said the weather played a role in the fire.
"The biggest challenge number one it was windy when we first got here. And the buildings are close together. We're like in the city. Our neighbors are very tight and the problem was you had the garage right at the rear of the house," said Luh.
At least seven people were displaced from the fire. The cause is under investigation.
