Ahh, nothing like the holiday season!
Local firefighters will deliver cuddly stuffed animals to patients at the John R. Oishei Children's Hospital today at 11:00 a.m.
The Buffalo Professional Firefighters Local 282 collected new stuffed animals through their December gift-drive to donate to patients in celebration of the holiday season.
Last year, firefighters sold t-shirts in honor of the fallen firefighters who died in the line of duty in December 1983. The t-shirt sales raised $1,200, which was used to buy toys for patients. The most popular items were stuffed animals, which led to the idea of conducting a donation drive this year.
