It's been 8 years since the crash of Continental Airlines flight 3407 but the fight for tougher airline safety regulations continues.
Family members of those killed in the 2009 crash in Clarence Center were back on Capitol Hill Wednesday, making the rounds of lawmaker offices, pushing against the aviation industry lobby which is trying to roll back new safety rules and regulations put in place since the crash.
It is something these Western New Yorker's have done every year for 8 years now, and they feel it is more important than ever since there is now a new administration in the White House.
They once again met with the Western New York congressional delegation and received assurances that everything possible will be done in the future to make sure the FAA and congress don't buckle-under to the industry pressure. Airlines say new pilot regulations for training and work rules have created a pilot shortage and increased their labor costs to a much higher level.
