In honor of Memorial Day, the Erie County SPCA is offering free pet adoptions to men and women of the armed services. Active duty, reserves, honorable discharge, service-disabled veterans and those retired from military service are all eligible.
The Vets & Pets program runs from May 22nd - May 31st. Anyone who wants to adopt an animal without a fee has to bring a Military ID of a DD214 with them.
Animals can be adopted from any SPCA location, including the new 300 Harlem Road location, as well as the offsite adoption centers. For more information, including pictures of the animals available for adoption, click here.
