Furnas Hall, at the University at Buffalo, is back open following a possible chemical scare Sunday evening.

The building, which is located on the University's North Campus in Amherst, was evacuated due to a possible methane leak.

According to campus officials, UB Facilities completed a third sweep of the building Sunday night and determined it was safe to reopen.  Classes and activities will be held as scheduled on Monday.
