AAA reports that gas prices in Western New York are on the rise.
The national average rose by 13 cents since last week. Local averages in Buffalo rose to $1.94 an increase of 4 cents from last week.
Prices remain lower than last year even though there has been an increase for two consecutive weeks. The price last year was $2.44.
The price increase could be a result of refineries undergoing scheduled maintenance and the seasonal switchover to summer-blend gasoline.
