If the spandex wasn't already revealing enough, be prepared to get an eyeful on July 9th when a bevy of bare bicyclists hit Buffalo streets.
The Buffalo World Naked Bike Ride is returning to the Queen City for a second year. Participants will gather at an as-yet undisclosed location on Saturday, July 9th between 7-7:30pm. If you'd like to support the ride but maybe not bare all, you can gather at 8pm at Elmwood and Bidwell Parkway.
The bike ride will take riders a few miles through city streets and is expected to wrap up by 10pm. The exact location of the starting point will be announced as the event draws closer.
The Facebook page for the naked bike ride says it aims to bring "awareness to oil addiction and the negative impacts of car culture" as well as the "vulnerability of cyclists on the roads," represented by bicyclists in the buff.
Rules for the ride include no drugs or alcohol, no glass containers and no cameras. Participants should wear clothes and shoes before the event but once the ride begins can wear as little as they dare.
Organizers do warn riders that they could face charges for the nude bike ride and that bicyclists should anticipate that their picture will be taken as they ride through the city.
