Empower Girls Buffalo is giving daughters the chance to bond with the most important women in their life by hosting "Girls Day Out."
The day long event will be held at Buffalo RiverWorks Saturday May 7th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The schedule is jam packed with a variety of fitness classes, arts and crafts and guest speakers.
"We're going to have fitness going on all day long for both women and girls," said Michele Melligan the president of Empower Girls Buffalo. "Brierwood Training Center is going to provide Kangoo, Zumba, PIYO and Kickboxing. We also have other centers coming in too like Power Yoga Buffalo and BikeorBar."

The owner of Brierwood Country Club Kelly Tomlinson said she started working with the organization last year after falling in love with its mission.
"Michele is such an amazing person," said Tomilson. "I have two daughters of my own so anything that I can do to inspire them to live a healthy life is what I want to do."
Tomilson will be at RiverWorks Saturday with a full staff prepared to help you burn calories while bonding with your mother or daughter.
Maggie Melligan is Michele's daughter who's already taking what she's learned from the program and following in her mother's footsteps.
