Good Friday rush at Buffalo's Broadway Market

Posted

Thousands of people will pass through the doors of Buffalo's Broadway Market this Good Friday.  One of the vendors that most people visit is Lupas Meats.  The employees got in at 1:00 a.m., and some won't leave until 9:00 p.m.

Michelle Lupas, who is a co-owner, told 7 Eyewitness News it's amazing to see the tradition of going to the market passed down to younger generations.  The market opened at 6:00 a.m. and Lupas said her employees were waiting on customers one minute later.  Most people come to buy sausage and Easter hams.  The store plans to sell about 5,000 lbs. of sausage on Good Friday alone.
