Gourmet Thanksgiving for pets

While you're getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving with your family, the Buffalo Animal Shelter will be sharing a special meal with our four-legged friends.

The shelter's Thanksgiving event will feature a three-course, gourmet, pet-friendly meal for 120 or so animals prepared by a chef.  Mayor Byron Brown said the event is meant to showcase the appreciation our community has for pets. 

The shelter will accept donations during the event.  The shelter's Facebook page has a wish list that includes towels, blankets, canned food for dogs and cats and bleach. 

The event starts Wednesday at 4:00 p.m.
