The Village of Hamburg has canceled its New Year's Eve ball drop due to extreme cold conditions that are expected to bring near record lows to the area.
Temperatures will be close to zero Sunday night with scattered snow showers across the region.
Buffalo's ball drop, which is marking its 30th year, will still take place at Roosevelt Plaza.
The Queen City's ball drop, which is billed as the second largest in the country behind Times Square, will be broadcast live on 7ABC.
