You never know what you'll find in some people's basements. Mike Igoe, former TV reporter and current college professor at SUNY Fredonia has transformed his basement into an old fashioned country store.

For nearly forty years Mike has been collecting the signs, bottles, and larger pieces that create the feeling of being in a life sized time capsule. He says "over the years I went to auctions, flea markets, garage sales, all sorts of stores you name it."

His neighbor built the store so Mike would be able to display his collection. There's an old fashioned cash register, collectible cereal boxes and lots of barber memorabilia, in fact the first piece Mike acquired was an old fashioned barber's chair. He says he liked it because "it was the same style chair I used to get my hair cut when I was a kid."

Mike is cleaning out and scaling down so everything is up for sale. He wants to make sure that it all goes to "people who will appreciate it" so the items are listed on moyerauction.com
