Cyber Monday means UPS goes into overdrive. Western New York sees an average of 50,000-60,000 packages daily double to more than 100,000 packages delivered to your doorstep every single day during the holiday season.
Drivers can't do it alone and that's why UPS is looking to hire 200 "Driver Helpers" immediately. Pay starts at $10.40 an hour with schedule flexibility. For those that can work every day and comes to work on time, there's a bonus in store.
"If you come to work every day, on time, you're going to be eligible for an extra $150 in your paycheck every week," WNY area HR Supervisor, Daniel Schieber said. He added that this job can be the start to a career with UPS.
"A lot of our seasonal employees do come back to work for us. Around 35% of our current workforce all started as seasonal employees," Schieber said.
The company will work with potential employees to find a route in their own community. Hiring can happen as quickly as filling out an application in the morning to working with a driver that afternoon all in the same day.
