Owners of Anderson’s Frozen Custard dread this time of year.
“Our business doesn't change that much in September. So, the service is lacking sometimes because we don't have enough people on,” said Anderson’s owner and CEO Holly Anderson.
That's because so many of its employees are in high school and college, and when students head back, they have less time for work. “We do very creative scheduling. When it's meal time, we have the most people on & then we cut it way back,” she said.
Lloyds Tacos locations are in the same boat. “From that third week of August through September it's tough,” said marketing manager, Ally Balcerzak.
Balcerzak said they’ve ramped up hiringefforts to fill the vacancies. “Experience is great when you're hiring but we're looking for a passion or the area and for Lloyd.”
Anderson's is also hiring. Click here for more information.
