This afternoon there was a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new BOCES Workforce Training Center in Niagara Falls.
The center provides training to post-high school graduates, from the ages of 17 to 60. It offers training in fields including nursing assistant, construction and welding.
This new center is located in the heart of Niagara Falls on 6th Street. Leaders say training center not only revitalize the neighborhood, but it makes it more accessible to the masses.
“Bus services been cut serval times. So this was the perfect opportunity for us to come here,” Susan Diemert, BOCES Literacy Zone Specialist said.
The center combines services that were offered at the Orleans/Niagara BOCES in Sanborn and the Niagara County Trott Access Center.
