Kimberly LaRussa founded sweetbuffalo716.comtwo years ago.
She doesn't make much to write the blog. But, she said it's not about getting paid. It's about giving back.
“I feel like everyone has a story. But, they don't always have someone to tell it. We've helped a lot of people by sharing stories in the western N.Y. community,” she said.
Whether it's a dog in need of a home, or a family in need of support, when LaRussa hears about it, she writes about it. “While every story isn't exactly sweet, the sweet part is we're trying to help.”
That's what motivates the mom from North Tonawanda. She has a separate full-time job that pays the bills. The blog is what makes her happy. “When I get to know these people and they're grateful, it just keeps me going.” L
LaRussa's now two years and more than 800 stories in. She doesn't know what's next for her website. She only knows she's not giving it up anytime soon. “Even if you take an hour a day to fulfill that dream, you should. So, that's what I do. This is my outlet to showcase my dream.”
