Bobby Finan nearly became an investment banker and then decided to open a distillery instead. He partnered with Sean Insalaco two years ago and together they started Tommyrotter Distillery.
They have been producing award winning spirits. Sean says "our barrel aged gin won a double gold in the World Wide Spirits competition."
The Tommyrotter name was inspired by the Roycroft Movement, according to Bobby "there was a group of artisans that would sneak off during the workday."
Their newest product is a bourbon aged in wine barrels. They just completed their forty-fifth batch of gin. The Tommyrotter tasting room is at 500 Seneca Street, Buffalo, N.Y. You can find more information at their website.
