Mile Strip Road in Hamburg was closed for more than three hours overnight Tuesday as crews worked to clear a 33 vehicle crash.
It happened on an overpass near the Ford Plant just before 11 p.m. Hamburg Police said the overpass probably iced over more quickly than the rest of the roadway and likely caught drivers off guard. Police say the other motorists likely had no where to go to avoid a crash. One of the vehicles involved was a Hamburg Police patrol vehicle.
Police say there were no major injuries, and the cause of the actual crash is still under investigation.
