An inmate at the Erie County Holding Center is charged with assaulting two deputies who tried to stop her from banging her head against a cell toilet.

Erie County Sheriff police say 21-year-old Arriana Craig, of Buffalo, was slamming her head against the toilet in her cell repeatedly on April 9. The deputies said they went to Craig’s cell when they heard a disturbance. They asked her to stop slamming her head before entering her cell. The two deputies were taken to the Erie County Medical Center after Craig started kicking them.

One deputy suffered injuries to their lower body, while the other suffered injuries to their upper body.

Craig was charged with two felony counts of assault and a count of obstructing governmental administration. She’s also facing administrative disciplinary charges.

Craig was being held in the Erie County Holding Center on several charges, including resisting arrest, assault, and disorderly conduct.
